The 11th edition of Hack.lu will take place on October 20-22, 2015, at Parc Hotel Alvisse in Luxembourg.

With a yearly attendance of more than 250 people from around 40 different countries, hack.lu has become an internationally renowned convention for security professionals from around the world.

The purpose of hack.lu is to give an open and free playground where technical and non-technical people can discuss the implication of new technologies in society. The convention has managed to keep an intimate and community driven atmosphere while being a major event on the international security scene.

“The most significant new discoveries about computer network attacks and defences, security solutions, and pragmatic real world security experience will be presented in a three days series of informative tutorials. We would like to announce the opportunity to submit papers, and/or lightning talk proposals for selection by the hack.lu technical review committee. This year, we will be doing workshops on the first day in the afternoon. Talks of 1 hour or 30 minutes will take place in the main track for the three days”, explains Alexandre Dulaunoy, the co-organizer of hack.lu.

The Capture the Flag (CTF) contest will again be the main highlight of the conference, with a theme around Education this year. Last year around 400 teams were enrolled, each made of 1 to 20 people. CTF is a computer security competition aiming to give participants experience in securing a machine, as well as conducting and reacting to real world type of attacks. This contest is designed by the FluxFingers architects from the Ruhr-University Bochum for the 6th time in a row.
